Such amazing strides are being gained in the world of functional neurology and helping to really put chiropractic on the map. Many have heard that Sidney Crosby had a horrible, career ending concussion while playing hockey. After many failed attempts by his doctors, he was giving up hope. Along came Dr. Carrick and Life University! Our little campus of 2000+ students has now gained worldwide recognition as Sidney not only came and sought treatment but returned to the ice this past week, scoring 2 goals and assisting 2 more. As chiropractic gains recognition, we are needing to also realize that our profession is seeing some changes. We are nervous system doctors, and that includes the brain. Understanding how eye movements affect the brain (and visa versa) chiropractors,with the help of functional neurologists, are making great strides not only into concussion science, but also Alzheimer, Parkinsons and many other issues of the brain and nervous system. Our time is coming and our goals are big!
